SUP Theatre Company is an award winning local community theatre group who perform at various venues around Southampton. We like to perform a wide range of play genres, murder mystery events and outdoor productions throughout the year.

We are delighted to offer this fantastic opportunity to come and direct for SUP this November. We have a confirmed booking at Hanger Farm Arts Centre (week beginning 21st November 2022), a super keen membership, and a play genre in mind, and we are seeking a director who can bring their own ideas and creativity to the production. We would like to stage an atmospheric thriller – full of chills and surprises  – perfect for a dark November night. We are open to play suggestions at this stage – but we also have some ideas of our own if needed. Experience of directing is preferable but we can provide a mentor to work with you if preferred.

We have the people, the place and the rehearsal space  – you will work alongside an SUP Producer and tech crew to help you create this production.

Please contact us at hello@suptheatre.co.uk to express your interest and we will be in touch to discuss your ideas.

Thank you!

Lilies on the Land’ by the Lions part – Directed by Paul Green20220321_185458

The story of four women who sign up to become Land Girls in a bid to do their bit for the War effort.

Torn from their families and without basic home comforts, Vera, Poppy, Margie and Peggy have to deal not only with the hardships of farming life and the pressures of war but also with being outsiders in strange surroundings.

Based on letters from and interviews with the original Land Girls, and  songs from the period, Lilies on the Land is a fast-moving, funny and utterly captivating portrait of Britain’s pluckiest unsung heroes

Performed at Furzey Gardens, 6-9 July 20
