A double bill from SUP Theatre Company – John Godber’s – Bouncers and Shakers
John Godber’s best known play takes an irreverent look at the urban nightlife of a Northern town with four actors taking on the challenge of portraying the eponymous Bouncers, together with a kaleidoscope of colourful characters that frequent Mr Cinders on a Friday night. Funny, touching and often a little tongue in cheek, this is a play full of nostalgia that will have you crying with laughter and dancing in the aisles.
It’s 1984! Let’s celebrate good times, COME ON!
Shakers Cocktail Bar is THE place to be! After work, before a club, to meet the blokes, to pick up the girls, to drink to celebrate or drown your sorrows, for birthdays and parties and romance and sin, this is the place to be seen.
Join the four young waitresses of Shakers, set in the 80s, in a sequence of quick fire humorous scenes as they reveal the lives of its staff and customers and offer an insight into their hopes, dreams and disappointments.
